Orlando 100, Washington 99. Maybe their rookie guard John Wall would have been the man to tip the scales in the Wizards’ favor, but unfortunately he is out with a bruised right knee, alongside injured center Yi Jianlin and forward Al Thornton. Yi Jianlin missed his seventh straight game due to a similar injury and Al Thornton missed only his second due to a sprained left foot. All of whom are valuable players when on the basketball court.

Although Washington lost, the effort that was displayed in what was predicted to be a blowout put faith back in the hearts of Wizards’ fans everywhere. Arenas played as if it were his rookie season against this Eastern Conference dynamo and Andray Blatche did not take the loss lying down either with 10 points and a game high of 13 rebounds. Leading by small margins for a majority of the game, each team looked like they were playing in the conference finals. Washington Wizards turning their win – loss record around for the better?
