After two and a half seasons, Larry Brown has stepped down (or was fired) as head coach for the Charlotte Bobcats. “The team has clearly not lived up to either of our expectations, and we both agreed that a change was necessary,” says Michael Jordan, referring to a conversation that he and Coach Brown had after a team practice earlier today. It is clear that the statement is beyond true, because with the talent placed in sync, there is no reason why this team should be 9-19. Especially since every other day the league is changing faces and teams are reshaping and shipping out key players for questionable ones. Since taking over as the Bobcats’ head coach, Brown has had a record of 88-108 and has been somewhat of a disappointment while bashing himself as well as his team. Paul Silas, former Charlotte Hornets coach, will be named interim head coach until further notice. The franchise seems to want to feel out the coach to see what direction he will be able to take the team in after being out of the game for two years. Obviously after the past few games that Charlotte has struggled in, Jordan decided to step in and fix the obvious problem, at least what seems to be the obvious problem. After declaring at the beginning of the season that the Bobcats should at least make the playoffs, he seems more than willing to do what it takes to make that a reality. But is it too late?
