The Lakers returned to action last night against the New Orleans Hornets. The crowd got a huge surprise, starting his first game was Lakers center Andrew Bynum. Phil Jackson told no one of Drew’s starting all the til time for tip-off! Even the announcer called Lamar Odom’s name in the starting line-up.
Phil Jackson made a last minute change putting Andrew in as a starter, and it paid off huge for the struggling lakeshow.
Bynum played his most minutes of the season,30; connecting on 8-14 shooting 18 pts, & 6 rebounds! With Bynum returning the Lakers finally transitioned back into there championship roles with L.O. returning to the bench. Super sub Odom lead all scores with 24pts. His push to make the all star team continues.
It’s no secret that the Lakers championship hopes rely heavily on a healthy Andrew Bynum, along with aggressive Gasol/Odom. Only The Boston Celtics truly match up with LA in that category.
But the best part about this win for the Lakers was watching Kobe Bryant on the bench smiling. Somehow a “smiling” Mamba puts the city of angels at ease. So the march to the finals continue on the shoulders of the BIG MAN-Bynum!
