It does not come as a surprise that after looming backyard and front office discussions of Carmelo’s Denver departure, his NBA buddies come out of the woodworks to speak of the issue. Not in the way to give their opinions on his destination but to admit their disdain for how the situation is being handled. Day after day, report after report of he said maybe, he will not meet with the Nets, he wants to go to the New York Knicks, he does not know what he wants to do, spectators as well as everyone involved have grown slightly tiresome of the consistent banter. Dwyane Wade included. He said that when the Heat was visiting the Nuggets he got in a few words with his draft classmate and spoke to him, mostly about personal matters, but relayed that the most important thing to do was to ask him and make sure he was okay mentally about the entire situation. He ended his comments about the subject of Melo’s trade with this:
“I stopped following it. It’s getting to the point where you’re just like, move on already or don’t. I’m sure Melo is more tired of it than anybody. But it’s just to the point, as a sports fan, you’re just, ‘All right, it’s just enough.’ ”
You are right, Wade. This is worse than last year’s Lebron-o-drama during the free agency period.
