<span id=Delonte West Glory Short Lived"/>

West started his NBA career with the Boston Celtics and is seems as if things have come full circle now that he has ended up under Coach Doc Rivers once again. In the last three games of his return since being out with a fractured right wrist for an extended period of time, West has had pretty sound performances against the Clippers and the Nuggets. Sadly, injury has threatened his playing time once again now that he has sprained his right ankle during some workouts Sunday. This of course puts him out of the game against the Utah Jazz. This minor injury presents a huge addition to the road block that Boston has been attempting to overcome this entire season, keeping players healthy.

The age of the Boston Celtics’ most active players is obvious and although this has no effect on their star power, there do need to be resting points in the game where the younger, healthier players need to step up and take the team by the reins. Delonte West was a shining light for the cause as his burst of energy on the court and made a few fans let Perkins’ release slip their minds. Jeff Green’s addition will undoubtedly play a bigger role in their victories now that pieces have disappeared and fallen, but the Celtics will drive full force through this obstacle just as they have before- unscathed and stronger than before.

    I Definately believe NBA players are formed in teams for a reason, they need to learn how to play like one and come up w/ a plan so that situations like this can be avoided because I mean this is only messing up the team delonte was one of the best players and now look he may be gone AGAIN!
