Audemars Piguet Watches are some of the most refined, expensive Swiss watches and LeBron James has become lucky enough be a brand ambassador for the company. He is joining the company of ambassadors including Indonesian-French singer Anggun, footballer Lionel Messi and Racecar driver Michael Schumacher. James’ face will be at their philanthropic events as well as social as he takes on another endorsement responsibility. Kobe isn’t the only one making things happen worldwide. LeBron James is beginning to expand his brand in ways that other league superstars could only dream about. Not only is he going to represent Audemars Piguet, but there are talks that he will be creating his own watch with the company. Here are a few quotes from AP executives about LeBron’s involvement: [..]
Well, he already was a first round deciding factor. The public flocks to Derrick Rose and with great reason. The point guard used the offseason to repair any breaks in his shooting ability that he was criticized for in his first two seasons. Rose is leading his team through the Eastern Conference, but do not doubt how important the other pieces of the Chicago Bulls are to their success — Kyle Korver being an underrated installment in the franchise. The current Sixth Man of the Year award recipient is Los Angeles Laker’s Lamar Odom. However, last year there was another man standing strong in that position. Jamal Crawford was the outstanding performer in that category last season and rightfully so. He may have come off of the bench in all 79 games he played in, but his first season with Atlanta produced 18 points per game. Crawford’s journey to where he is standing now, the second round of the Eastern Conference, has been a long one. [..]
Ten years ago around this time, the 2001 playoffs were going on. In the Eastern Conference, the Indiana Pacers were still the 8 seed in the Eastern Conference and the NY Knicks, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers and the Orlando Magic were all still a part of the postseason. Seeded very differently than they are in today’s playoffs, Reggie Miller and Allen Iverson were looked at as the primary highlights in the East while Kobe Bryant was a defending champion. Allen Iverson would eventually lead his team through each round to reach the NBA Finals and battle today’s western conference favorites.
Doug Collins was commentating that Finals series instead of coaching it and Philly would take game one during the Phil Jackson, Shaq and Kobe era of the Lakers franchise. The Lakers would go on to win the series 4-1 and achieve the second trophy in their three-peat. [..]
Last night was a wild night for basketball to say the least. Just when you think that all has been said and done, a player steps forth to prove your predictions inaccurate. The San Antonio Spurs were tap dancing on the line of elimination and game six was a must win. Even though they retained as much as a 16-point lead in the first half of the game, they slumped and Memphis held a three-point lead in the last moments. Game is over right? [..]

Okay, ladies and gentlemen. Before you react to the quotes I relay from Indiana Pacers’ Danny Granger, I would like you to keep a few things in mind.
Now, that we have explored those avenues, here are the comments made by Danny Granger via ESPN.com about Joakim Noah’s hard hitting play against the Pacers on Tuesday: [..]
Oops! Adidas dropped the ball on one of the biggest endorsements of all time. Nike and Phil Knight snatched His” Airness” from Adidas who for some reason felt, since they were a European brand that they didn’t need to go that hard in the states.
I bet the guy that pulled the trigger on that decision is still getting kicked in the you know what. As matter of fact, I think I just passed him laying on street and dropped a buck in his cup. I only recognized him because he had one of those honest signs that read: “Hey can you help me out? I’m The Adidas guy you know from the Jordan deal thing.” No serious Michael told his Adidas contact “If you guys come anywhere close to what Nike is offering me, i’m yours.”
Mike being a big Adidas fan, had never worn Nike’s before. While in college, all he wore was Converse. Talk about making the most out of an opportunity, Nike and Michael Jordan have forged one of the greatest partnerships ever! The two have influenced culture in a way that few have. That M.J. Nike deal is the stuff most companies dream of.
The guy who made that decision for Adidas comes away looking like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football while Lucy was holding it OOOP’s!!!
