<span id=GM!BOW: Dorell Wright"/>

Wednesday, Dorell Wright stepped outside of the line and hit a three-pointer setting the franchise record for single season daggers. He walked off of the court as a time out was called and was congratulated by his coach and teammates for achieving such an incredible feat. Wright is one amongst many on the Golden State Warriors team that are more so criticized than praised for their effort and potential.

Just last Sunday, during the IAMNBA.com blog talk radio show, Boe and I were discussing how irrelevant Golden State has become in the Western Conference. We would love to spotlight their successes, but before lately those praises have come few and far in between.

However, this three-game winning streak that each of their starters has been able to put up against the likes of the Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trailblazers and the Los Angeles Lakers has sparked some confidence in the eyes of a team who has faced their share of a rollercoaster season.

Wright is the perimeter threat that most teams in the National Basketball Association need to survive in such a competitive era of basketball. Not too many of our league’s finest are able to step outside and hit a three as consistent as he is and that has proven to be such a pick me up for the Golden State offense. Everyone has a role and while someone would shake their head at his lack of defense, you cannot deny how important his role is.

Boe’s Most Improved Players relinquished the fact that Dorell Wright has the greatest improvement in scoring from last season with an increase of 9.5 points per game. Development like that on a team that is still in the mending an molding stage is crucial.

Stephen Curry , Monta Ellis and David Lee may be the most recognized players of the team, but Golden State’s Perimeter Warrior, Dorell Wright, is among the most lethal.
