Oops!  Adidas dropped the ball on one of the biggest endorsements of all time.  Nike and Phil Knight snatched His” Airness” from Adidas who for some reason felt, since they were a European brand that they didn’t need to go that hard in the states.

I bet the guy that pulled the trigger on that decision is still getting kicked in the you know what.  As matter of fact, I think I just passed him laying on street and dropped a buck in his cup.  I only recognized him because he had one of those honest signs that read: “Hey can you help me out?  I’m The Adidas guy you know from the Jordan deal thing.”  No serious Michael told his Adidas contact “If you guys come anywhere close to what Nike is offering me, i’m yours.”

Mike being a big Adidas fan, had never worn Nike’s before.  While in college, all he wore was Converse.  Talk about making the most out of an opportunity, Nike and Michael Jordan have forged one of the greatest partnerships ever!  The two have influenced culture in a way that few have.  That M.J. Nike deal is the stuff most companies dream of.

The guy who made that decision for Adidas comes away looking like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football while Lucy was holding it OOOP’s!!!
