Congratulations are in order for The Dallas Mavericks winners of The 2010-11 NBA Chip. Dirk Nowitzki showed mega heart and tough metal in earning his first Larry O’ Brien Trophy. Also gaining Finals M.V.P honors. Time after time in seemingly close game after close game, The 7′ foot German made Nerf hoop clutch shot, after Nerf hoop clutch shot. I used to be money like that in my room on a bent hanger on the top of my closet door, so i can envision what mister Nowitzki sees when he’s draining that J, anybody out there remember that.
Props to Jason Kidd who deserved that Chip as much as Dirk, dude has shown unquestionable floor general skills on the dance floor since he was at Cal, and upset America’s darlings Bobby Hurley and Duke back in The Big Dance, about Eighteen years ago. I remember him leading New Jersey to back to back finals appearance’s and giving The Tri-State area something to cheer about while The Knicks were taking their annual fishing trip. Enough can’t be said for Mark Cuban and the type of owner that he is, I surmise most players in the league would love to play for him.
I can’t think of a more humble group of guys to pull for then kats like J.J Barea and Tyson Chandler. Shawn Marion the former All-Star had one helluva playoff run as well. And then there’s Jason Terry The Jet part two, who @King James can learn a thing or two from about heart and determination. Terry put the big bag on his shoulders and was willing to carry it. It takes a lot of guts to talk the talk and then go out and back it up 27-pts in the game 6 closeout victory. Terry put that trophy on his arm and went way out on a limb.
The Mavericks got the job done collectively as a Team with one superstar, and an Olympian who everyone said was too old. The Big Three made a good run at it, i gotta give them that, but in the end they would fall victim to superior coaching and team play as opposed to one on one ball. Rick Carlisle out coached Pat Riley and his figure head Eric Spolestra because we all know Riles was calling the shots from the stands, will he take over the reigns next season? Stay tuned.
On a Miami note Chris Bosh played well with 19-pts and 10, and Dwayne Wade put on a decent effort with 17-pts while Lebron James the self proclaimed king seemed intimidated by the moment. Great players don’t run from the moment they seize it and dominate that’s what separates them from the rest they want it more and the will is greater. For a guy who is considered to be better than Michael Jordan or as good as him, to not even show up for the party is crazy.
Dude’s not even the best player on his team, and further more his will to win doesn’t surpass Kobe’s or Wade’s. How dare people compare M.J. to LBJ just take a look at their finals averages. Jordan 30-plus in an era when hand checking and mugging was allowed he averaged 30-plus. James(19-ppg) can’t get that when the rules are altered to increase scoring, in order to ensure a more offensive experience, go figure.
All things considered it was a great season and i can’t wait for training camp, let’s go Dolan get Amar’e some inside help and let him and Melo roll baby. @Boemoney1
